Creation 1996 One of five large scale pieces first shown at the Herbert Art Gallery in the group show Synaptica in 1996 and subsequently at Dock Street Galleries in London. Each piece is between 2x3m and 3x3m, and represents human relationships using torsos to convey meaning. The original images are still available for exhibition and fine art digital prints of any size are available.

Siren 1 1994 One of four images of sirens produced for a monograph on Ray's work - Form and Fantasy. First shown at the Angle Gallery in Birmingham. The original prints were produced using liquid emulsion, a technique discussed in the book Beyond Monochrome - A Fine Art Printing Workshop by Ray Spence and Tony Worobiec. Fine art digital prints of the work are now available.

Malakai 2002 Ray is a well known and respected workshop leader. One of his interests is creating pieces from home made pinhole cameras as in this 18 pinhole portrait. Ray's next workshop is at Inversnaid Photography Centre by Loch Lomond, Scotland in August 2002.

Nautilus 2001 Ray was originally a biologist and natural forms are a recurring theme in his work.
