Ray Spence FRPS
Ray Spence
originally trained as a Microbiologist having gained his degree at University
College, London. His career as a commercial / fine art photographer and an
educator has run in tandem and he is now a full time lecturer in photography and
digital imaging at Warwickshire College, School of Art.
He is a Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society and sits on the distinctions
panel for Visual Art and is the Chairman of the Printing Panel.
For thirty years, Ray has specialised in Fine Art Monochrome printing and
alternative printing processes. He now works exclusively in digital imaging and
produces fine art digital prints using the latest archival inks and papers.
His work reflects his interest in natural forms especially the body, and the
minutiae of life.
Ray’s work is held in many private collections in the UK and the USA and the
Permanent Collection of The Royal Photographic Society at The National Media
Museum, Bradford.

Ray is represented by Hoopers Gallery in London, but would be
interested in

representation in the Midlands
New Projects
Ray is currently involved in several new projects involving the
body and would
welcome
any prospective models. In particular one project involves
photographing life
models in
their home environment.
