Six LSA members show their work at David Wilson Homes, Kenilworth Road, Leamington Spa, CV32 6JY.

Chiltern Poster Award:

LSA has organized a competition in partnership with Chiltern Railways. The competition is to design a poster promoting rail travel to London by Chiltern. The winning poster will be displayed at Leamington Spa’s recently restored Art Deco Station and at other stations on the Chiltern line.  A cash prize of £350 will be awarded by Ian Baxter of Chiltern Railways at a ceremony on June 24^th 2009, 10 am (at Leamington Spa Station).
1st Prize £350.00 (Donated by LSA).
2nd Prize £100.00 voucher
(Donated by Salt of the Earth).

Prize Winners

The winner of the Chiltern Poster Competition is Susan Bassett with her interpretation of Cezanne’s card players.  Her poster will, in due course, be displayed at railway stations on the Chiltern line down to London. In addition she receives a cash prize of £350 and free tickets for a day in London. Shortly before the judges met another prize was offered by Salt of the Earth Giclée Print Service of Abergavenny.  This prize, £100 worth of art services, has been awarded to Cheryl Portlock, and Rodney Philcox’s design has been selected by The Friends of Leamington Station for display in one of the waiting rooms.
The award ceremony will take place at Leamington Station, 10 am on Wednesday 24^th June when Ian Baxter (General Manager North, Chiltern Railways) will present the prizes.
