Present work has developed from a former series of very large abstract paintings ( oil on canvas 12' x 9' entitled "Spanish Door". That earlier work was in response to a door seen by the artist in a small spanish fishing village.
The aim was to extend upon its history of marks and the brutal surfaces formed by exposure to the elements, wear and tear, decay and graffiti.
Current work comprises of a series of abstract paintings which have a particular focus on various detailed aspects of the Spanish Door series.
