Iris Bertz works freelance as a consultant and adviser. She has worked as consultant for the German Development agency GTZ and the government of Santa Catarina on the development of the willow industry in Brazil.

Currently she works freelance for the Open College Network, the University Of Wolverhampton and the Deutsche Handwerkstag.
